Shibuya Bon Odori has been held since 2017 with the theme of "creating a place for interaction between the people of Shibuya and those who come to Shibuya.
Traffic is restricted along part of Bunka-mura-dori and Dogenzaka, and a turret is erected on the road in front of SHIBUYA109, where people of all ages, men, women, and even foreigners join hands and form a big circle to enjoy the Bon dance.
On the day of the event, there will be fair stalls for target shooting, super ball scooping, etc., and kitchen cars.
In addition to "Shibuya Ondo," "Olympic Shibuya Ondo," "Yumemiru Shibuya Ondo," and other original songs unique to Shibuya, standard songs such as "Tokyo Ondo," "Daitokyo Ondo," "Kawachi Otoko-bushi," and "Tankobushi" that everyone has heard before are played.
Only at Shibuya Bon Odori can you enjoy a traditional Bon Odori dance in the different space in front of SHIBUYA109.
