One day you are wearing short sleeves, the next day there is a light snowfall... March has such a drastic difference in temperature.
On March 9, the "Honmachi Festival" & "Friends Park" was held, which children in the Sasahatahatu area must have been anxiously awaiting for a long time!
Although I would like to enjoy both of these events, I went to Friends Honmachi first, anticipating that people would be concentrated in the Honmachi Festival in the morning.
As registration opened at 11:00 a.m., a form with several game names was handed out. First of all, visitors were challenged to play the games listed on the form. If you complete the game, you will receive a ticket for a lucky draw. There were more than 10 types of games, ranging from ring toss and strike out to games using the bouldering wall and a real baseball board using the entire room! The planning and operation of the event was done by staff members from elementary school to high school, so all the games were handmade and full of variety and fun.
My 5-year-old, who hates to lose, gets extremely grumpy when he fails in these games, but the elementary school staff made it so much fun that I was able to smile even when he failed (thanks from the bottom of my heart!).
If you challenge all the games on the form and get a fukubiki ticket, you can win a fukubiki. The prizes included sweets, toys, workshop tickets, and handmade goods made by the children! After the fukubiki, you could get a new form and try another game.
There was also a super giant fluffy slide that I have only seen in pay-to-play areas, blocks that even babies can play with, a fluffy house, and animal battery cars on the rooftop, and in any case, there was a lot of fun packed in from the second basement to the rooftop.
I regret that I did not make it to the Honmachi Festival because it was so full. I will carefully plan how to get around next year!
