It's just a sticky, squishy object - slime. And yet, there is not a child in the world who doesn't like it! I can say with certainty that children have always been fascinated by slime.
An event where you can enjoy such slime to your heart's content was held at Hachilabo, a children's science center in the Shibuya Ward Cultural Center Owada. The event was called "Hachi-Labo Slime Exhibition!
At the entrance are kaleidoscopes of various sizes with slime inside instead of pieces of paper. When you peek into it, multicolored lights move slowly.
In the back of the pool, there was a giant slime pool filled with vinyl! Children dunked their hands into the slime one after another, tearing it off, curling it up, and smacking it as much as they wanted.
In addition, there is a slime-related quiz, and if you answer all the questions, you can scoop slime. After scooping one scoop of slime with a spoon, you can put it in a plastic container and take it home.
It seems that a slime-making workshop was also held during the period, but this workshop filled up early and I was unable to attend.
If you get tired of slime, you can also play with the Pythagora puzzle (more addictive to parents than children), which is permanently installed in the Hachi-Lab, or the contraption that rolls a large number of balls from a large slanted slingshot table.
The Hachilabo itself is not a very large space, but you can play endlessly with the special and permanent exhibits. 4 year old daughter played for more than an hour.
From September 10.The SDGs.The exhibition is going to start. I would like to pedal my bicycle from Sasazuka again.
