Launched in 2017 as an event to introduce Chinese culture to the Japanese and promote exchanges between the people of the two countries, the China Festival has grown significantly to a scale that will welcome 180,000 visitors from 140 exhibitors in 2024. In 2025, the China Festival will be held as a "platform for national exchange" to introduce various aspects of Chinese culture, including youth exchange, art, food, and the economy, with the aim of learning about and communicating the "present" state of China.
