This year, the 2024 Shimokitazawa Film Festival will feature a genre-neutral competition as its main program, as well as programs that focus on various cultural aspects such as music, theater, fashion, and gourmet cuisine. This year, the festival will be held for three days from September 21 (Sat.) to 23 (Mon.) at various venues in addition to the main venue, Kitazawa Town Hall!
This year's competition will be held on September 23 (Mon., national holiday), the last day of the festival, and all the films selected by the staff from a total of 380 entries will be screened at once. In addition to the Grand Prix and Runner-up Prizes awarded by the guest jury, the Audience Award, Keio Corporation Award and Odakyu Corporation Award will also be determined by votes from the audience.
The awards ceremony will be preceded by a talk session with the jury and all nominated directors.
The guest judge will be Director Satoko Yokohama!
