Aquathlon" is an event in which one athlete competes in swimming and two running events in succession, and is widely enjoyed as an introduction to triathlon. Triathlon, a combined event of swimming, cycling, and running, became an official event at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, and Japanese athletes competed at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Odaiba, Tokyo, Japan.
Date: September 16, 2024 (Monday, national holiday), 8:30 a.m. start, 12:00 p.m. end
Venue: Shibuya Ward Sports Center indoor pool and playground (rain or shine)

Discipline: Swimming & Running
Competition: Swimmers will start swimming in the pool wearing a swim cap, goal, and swimsuit. After swimming the designated distance, swimmers will put on their race number card (distributed on the day of the event), dress as a runner (no nudity allowed), and run around the sports field.
Equipment: swimsuits (tri-wear acceptable), swim caps, T-shirts, running shoes

Eligibility: Healthy men and women of elementary school age and above with swimming and running ability of at least the distance of each event.
Entry fee: General 1,500 yen / Elementary and junior high school students 1,000 yen
