～About the Hachioji Contemporary Furniture Craft School
Hachioji Modern Furniture Craft School is located in Hachioji City, a city rich in nature in the southwestern part of Tokyo. The school's motto is to think with one's mind and create with one's hands, and it is a place where anyone can learn the three elements of art, design, and craft: the trinity of furniture making.
Using authentic large woodworking machines and hand tools such as planes and chisels, we combine the grain and color of wood with traditional and modern techniques to create wooden furniture and small woodworking items that become the centerpiece of an interior space.
